A couple of days ago, I wanted to use the Windows Help and Support section, so I clicked on Start, and then clicked on Help and Support. To my surprise I got the Error message:

Windows cannot open Help & Support because a system service is not running.

To fix this problem start the service named Help & Support.

So I clicked on Help & Support again, and got the same Error message.

Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong ? How can I fix it ? ( I have some experience with computers).

Hi

Right-click on my computer and select manage

Click on the + by services and applications

Click on Services

Right-click on Help and Support and select properties

Startup type should be automatic

Then reboot your pc and it should work then.

Tks for that. I tried what you described, but Startup type was already in 'automatic', so 'no dice'.

This is REALLY baffling !!
