Login and Sony Vaio Notebook

Recommended Posts

Hi,

One of our customers has a Sony Vaio BX29 notebook (UK keyboard layout)

running Windows XP SP2 with all available patches and updates. When he tries

to login to Windows 2003 R2 Terminal Services he can't use capitals or other

graphics that uses the shift-key. Even Alt-codes don't work properly (e.g.

Alt-65 should be an "A" but shows an "a" and Shift-4 should be a "$" but

shows a "4" on the inputbox). On the local desktop all input is correct.

Language and input/keyboard settings are OK on both the notebook and server

since logging on from another non-Sony computer works fine. Loging on to

another Terminal Server also gives teh same responses.

Anyone having this problem as well? Tried changing the keyboard layout to

US/US International but with no improvement.
