Poolmon.exe Problem?

We are running SBS2000. When we open a command prompt window and type

poolmon.exe, the top of the window flashes just the memory information

and then goes away--back to the command prompt.

 

But if we type poolmon.exe /p, we get the screen with the data as we

should. Why can we only start poolmon.exe using a switch command??
