FWIW, if I take control of my modem in Windows using HyperTerminal, then I get the following in a DOS box: C:\WIN98SE>echo atl3m2h1 > com2 Write fault error writing device COM2 Abort, Retry, Ignore, Fail? - Franc Zabkar -- Please remove one 'i' from my address when replying by email.
