haseeb Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 First of all my pc is running too slow nowadays. Secondly when i open a local drive lick Drive D: C: etc it opens in a new window not in that same window. Quote
BeeCeeBee Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 If what your are saying is that you go to my computer and click on a drive (the C: drive for example) a new window opens to show you the contents of the drive, then that is what is supposed to happen. As for running slow we need to know about your computer (what is it?) What if any changes have been made lately. How is it different now then before? Have you defragged your drive ever? Deleted Temp files? Etc. Quote "Familiarity breeds contempt - and children." Mark Twain
haseeb Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 Normally clicking any driving it opens in the same window but now another window opens to show the content of that drive. I had used Disk Cleanup some times and one more thing i have downloaded drweb cure it but when i open it.It gives me error and then close. There is a vast difference before that problem my pc was running smoothly and i wasn't facing any errors but nowadays there are many errors that iam facing. I have used malware bytes it detects some trojans and cleans it but still no change. Quote
BeeCeeBee Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Ok I still don't get your point about the window. If you know how to create a screenshot you can post it and we will take a look. As for Dr Web I don't know much about it as an antivirus program etc. but what were you using before and what have you done with it? Uninstall, disable, still running? haseeb Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 Look at this i clicked Drive D: from my computer and it opened up in a new window. http://sixpop.com/images/513092817.gif Quote
BeeCeeBee Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 I get it now, you are opening a SECOND window while the other remains open. Go to your control panel and click "Folder Options." in the first "General" panel see the second item down, "Browse Folders" select the first option "Open each folder in the same Window" and that should cure that problem. Now if you can reply to the rest we can start to tackle that problem. Quote "Familiarity breeds contempt - and children." Mark Twain
haseeb Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 This option is already checked but still its opening in a new window. http://sixpop.com/images/1068566058.gif Quote
BeeCeeBee Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Ok that should not be happening. Select the second option (the one you don't want) click ok, exit and reboot the PC. Once it opens repeat the process but set it the way you want it and reboot again. Sometimes that is all it takes. Otherwise it may be related to your overall problem. haseeb Posted March 20, 2009 Author Posted March 20, 2009 Still no change. Hmm please recommend me any good malware remover other than malware bytes and norman. Quote
BeeCeeBee Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 I just don't see how you could have rebooted twice in that short a period of time with a slow computer at that.
