I am using Windows XP and a Canon i560 printer.

1) From time to time I want to print off information gained from an internet site.

I notice, usually only after several pages have be printed (landscape format), that part of the text has not been printed on the righthand side. Often one can guess at what is missing but sometimes the complete text is wanted.

To get the full text I have to go into landscape format and reprint which consumes very much more paper.

Can someone tell me how (if?) I can get full text in portrait format? How can I cover this without first going thro' the pain of wasting paper, ink and patience ?

2) Why do I sometimes get no text at all although it was visible on the screen. There may perhaps be some form of "Header" and perhaps a "Footer" or adverts printed down the side, it is otherwise a blank piece of paper.

Again, anyway of covering this event before starting to print?

Am I alone in this or just a complainer!

Some web pages or parts of web pages can't be printed but for those that can press the Alt key to bring up File. Click Print Preview. Select Shrink to Fit.

I have just tried to follow your advice with this page - by way of experimentation. The page is "short" on the RHS (!) and I can't find "shrink to fit" anywhere. Can ytou tell me where to locate that please? Thanks

I assume you are using IE7 as your browser. If so press the Alt key to bring up the File-Edit-View-Favorites-Tools-Help tool bar.

Click File.

Click Print Preview.

In Print Preview select Shrink to Fit on the toolbar.

If you are using FireFox ignore the first paragraph.

Hi, when you say AOL, do you mean their Netscape browser? AOL is normally a service provider.

Internet Explorer or IE was based on the Netscape browser!

If you hit File at the top and then scroll to Print Preview you should see a screen similar to this.
