hi all can some one help iv'e put windows back on my m8's lap top but need the other drivers being a newbie not sure which i need and how to get them please help thanks in advance

Go to Dell and get the drivers from there.

What happened to the original XP disk and driver disk?

What did you use to install windows, was this a Dell disk and, if so, what does it say on it? If not, then the same question. Have you looked for a driver disk for that machine?

Hi again no it was not dell windows disc was windows xp pro what's my next move again a big thanks for your time

We need to know what version of XP Pro you were using can you tell us what is says on the disk?

As a side note to what BeeCeeBee said:

3. Sound drivers

Your statement is not necessarily correct Maynard as a new install without the driver disk peculiar to that pc will load base drivers only.

 

Has the XP disk that you have been loaded onto any other PC Telzan?

yes it has been put onto my pc

Ok just to make absolutely clear, the disk you have is for your machine and you have installed it onto your mates pc and are now seeking the given drivers for his machine yes?

the copy of windows was given to me from a friend of a friend said it can be put onto any computer

Mmm this is a real shame Telzan as what you have done and are doing right now is illegal.
