I have two windows 2003 servers without floppy drives. How can I create

ASR's for these servers? is there a way to put the information on a CD?

Re: ASR

Hello Flores,

From another posting:

1. You don't need a floppy drive to make the ASR backup.

But, you *must* have one for ASR restore. (an USB floppy drive in your case)

2. The wizard backs up the operating system boot volumes and system volumes,

but does not back up other volumes, such as program or data volumes. To secure

data on other volumes, you must back up those volumes separately by using

Backup or another backup tool. You can, however, choose to back up All information

on this computer when running Backup. This option creates a full backup of

your entire system, including ASR data. This means that you can recover the

entire system through the ASR process in the event of failure.

Re: ASR

I am confused. If I don't need one to backup how am I going to come up with

one for restore when it was never created? I do differential backups every

day and full backup on Friday with Arcserve.
