moving data from one ex hd to another

I have two external hard drives both contain data

I wish to MOVE/TRANSFER the data from one HD to the other in order to format and reuse one of the hd's there is enough room on the one I wish to transfer/move the data to

 

Any help please

You can simply copy (or cut) the data from the one HDD and paste to the other.

 

Or am i missing something here ;)

Hi Bob me old mate.

As Maynard says it can be done if you can connect both drives to the computer at once, if not you will have to temporarily move them to the computer then transfer to the other drive afterwards.

One final thought, if the files on the external drive is just backup of what is on the PC you can move to more up to date stuff from the PC onto the new drive and only move things that are not in the PC from one external to another.
