Blank screen when certain users log into server

I have a 2003 Enterprise terminal server joined to my domain. It is

not a domain controller. When myself, the admin login or one other

user logs in, no problems. We all happen to be admins. When anyone

else logs in all they get is a blank screen, basically the blue

background you get just as you login and the login dialog drops off

the screen right before the desktop comes up. Terminal services

manager shows the person as logged in, if you try to switch to that

user it gives you the same screen. I'm getting the following errors

in my Application Event Viewer

Event ID 101 - Folder Redirection

Failed to perform redirection of folder Desktop. The new directories

for the redirected folder could not be created. The folder is

configured to be redirected to <\\server\RedirectedFolders$\%USERNAME%

\Desktop>, the final expanded path was <\\server\RedirectedFolders$

\addde\Desktop>. The following error occurred:

This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object.

(This one happens twice, once for the Desktop, once for My Documents,

this is probably the cause of the blank screen)

Event ID 1085 - Userenv

The Group Policy client-side extension Folder Redirection failed to

execute. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that

extension.

Event ID 1000 - UserInit

Could not execute the following script....

(This one also happens twice, each time it tries to run a script from

my NETLOGON share on the Domain Controller)

Any ideas, I'm stumped.

Thanks in advance

This article should help you to solve the Folder redirection and

blank screen issue:

274443 - How to dynamically create security-enhanced redirected

folders by using folder redirection in Windows 2000 and in Windows

Server 2003

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=274443

I'm not sure about the logon script problem. But when you have

solved the folder redirection problem, you should be able to logon

as a normal user. Then try if you can browse to the NETLOGON folder

and execute the script manually. If you do that from a command

prompt, you'll get an error message if it fails. Please report the

error here for further assistance. Also check the permissions on

the script.
