Guest markm75 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 This is a basic question.. but we had a server crash with DNS on it.. it was the first server i setup DNS services on.. There is still a secondary DNS server (i think it has a copy of the zone info etc).. I'm not sure on the this new server how I should set the DNS portion up.. ie: this secondary server will go away soon.. So do i just go through the wizard as if there isnt already a DNS setup on this secondary server? I need to make sure that if i make this a read only secondary.. that i can then make it writable.. as the other dns will go away.. actually.. that other dns server was setup as a read only secondary.. so i'm not sure which is the right thing to do ere. Thanks
