Guest gs Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 on two windows 2003 standard servers install on dual xeon Intel boxes have problem with ATI Radeon x550 video PCI express card driver. When the remote desktop is used to reboot/shutdown the server, esp. after an update on the server, there will likely a crash resulting in the error reporting pointing to device driver as culprit. However there is no supported windows 2003 Radon driver. how can I uninstall the Radeon driver and use Microsoft 's regular or any other compatible video driver? or any other PCI express video card with supported driver that will give me 1280 x 1024? and what kind of resolution can I expect then on the console on rdp?
Guest Dave Patrick Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Re: PCI express video card driver and RDP on windows This one should work. Be sure to never install the ATI Catalyst crapware. http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=xp/radeonxip-xp -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup.
