I was changing a password for BitDefender. The process required going into safe mode. The process seemed to work. I was able to change the password, however colors and color selection button ceased to work. Techies at BD thought I was still in Safe Mode, but that was not the case. Further instructions have not been forthcoming. The following are some symptoms:

1. When I boot up my computer (Windows 7, 64 bit--i7-4790Kcpu @4.00GHz, Nividia GeForce GTX960, 16.0 GB ram. 7.8 experience rating), everything looks normal until I enter my password. Then the screen goes white with "Welcome" displayed in black.

2. When the boot is complete, the wallpaper appears normal, but the task bar below is white and the "Start" button is also colorless.

3. With "Word" from the Microsoft Office 10 suite loaded, the button for selecting font color does not work. The "Track Changes" records that the font color has been changed, but the color does not appear on screen.

4. With "Excel" from the Microsoft Office 10 suite loaded, neither of the buttons for selecting font color or Fill color are working. Again the change is recorded but does not appear on the screen.

5. With Mozilla Firefox on screen, the background theme does not appear and I cannot re-select the theme and make it appear. In addition the email screen is colorless and color selection for e-mail font color does not work.

I have tried bringing up the color modification series of adjustments for Windows 7, hoping to reload the color defaults, but the utility says that the defaults are as they should be.

Colors are generally not displaying right even on the websites I visit and it is interfering with proper functioning.

Please help.

Thank you,
