XP Pro Activation Issues

It seems to be that this is the current 'hot topic' and it unfortunate that

i am adding to it.

After having bought a new laptop, it annoys to me that i have had to send it

back to the factory thinking that there may have been some hardware/software

reason that caused the problem - the problem being of XP Pro asking to be

activated, after i had already done so.

I have now tried the telephone service 3 times now only to find that i am

still 'locked out' - i cant do anything about it either as when i did manage

to speak to a rep over the phone regarding this issue, after i had asked the

question, was promptly hung up on. This is not what i would call

proffessional in the slightest.

I am now stuffed as i need the laptop to complete various University

assignments, and seen as i can activate windows, cannot use the pc for more

than 30 days.

can anyone supply a number for the UK to take me throught to tech support,

or perhaps even a better solution than that cursed telephone method.

Regards,

A Robertson

You might try asking the hardware vendor for help.

Also a more appropriate group would be;
