It seems that ever since the windows 10 (1703) update was made available for my pc (July 2017), it has been a mess. It has become so bad that anything that has to do with a software download from the internet ... it fails. All the errors point to this file:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\fwpuclnt.dll

The error window that pops up is for "Bad Image". It says:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\fwpuclnt.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020.

To resolve this issue, I refreshed my windows twice; first saving documents and the second time scrapping everything away. I'm still not getting anything to work. I have tried reinstalling my antivirus (Kaspersky), google chrome. Nothing seems to work.

Googling the issue, I found some old posts. I tried them all but still nothing seems to fix the issue. I tried running sfc command too:

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.15063]

© 2017 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.

Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>

Can anyone please help with this error.

Thanks.
