Server 2000 SP4 performance issue

I am running Server 2000 sp4 in a small Doctor's surgery center. They

complained of very slow response on the server. I came inon Sunday with no

one accessing the system. The task manager shows the memory usage at about

1% and the CPU is flat lined at 100%. The two processes using the CPU are

eventmgr.exe (75%-95%) and CSRSS.exe (5%-25%). How can I tell what the

eventmgr.exe is doing?

AFAIK not required for the operating system. Do you have a microtek scanner?

No scanners installed. Just HP Printers.

Re: Server 2000 SP4 performance issue

I'd kill the process and see what happens.
