Plastic Nev Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Hi, and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help. You don't say which browser you are using, is it Internet Explorer, Firefox, or other? If you are using Firefox, and you downloaded flashplayer it goes straight to the Firefox add ons or pluggins and can only be removed or at best disabled, from there, hence why you cannot find it in Add/Remove programs. RandyL Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I don't know if uninstalling it and installing the latest version from Adobe will help or not but it's worth a try. You need to run the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller now though. How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control Good luck Quote We are all members helping other members. BeeCeeBee Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 We have had a discussion running about IE8 and the consensus seems to be that there are a number of problems with running in with XP in particular. I would suggest you uninstall for the time being. You should roll back to 7. http://extremetechsupport.com/forum/computing-news/6192-ie8-realease.html Quote "Familiarity breeds contempt - and children." Mark Twain
