W2003 TS And new app

We have just moved to a new ERP system K8. We are running all our salesmen

on TS were we have installed their client KCLM Client, which in turn connects

in to a RedHat box running their preparatory DB.

 

Our problem is that we can only run the client 10 times, i.e. only 10 users

can fire it up and log in to their system, when number 11 tries along, the

login screen comes up for the users to enter their password, but I get a

10054 when they try to connect, with no visible attempt is made by client to

connect the error is instantaneous

 

We have our old ERP system running fine along side with 30 open session's.

It is only this app that hits 10 and stop's working.

 

The people from Keridge feel that there is something wrong on my server,

which is preventing the client form executing correctly once it hits number

11.

 

Please any help here would be appreciated.

Is the ERP client defined as the starting application on the TS?

Assuming that it is, can you still connect to the full desktop of

the TS when you have 10 concurrent ERP user sessions?

 

I assume that you mean system error 10054, with description:

"An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"?

 

Have you checked the EventLog on the server when this happens? Any

warnings or errors there?

Have you checked the number of allowed connections to the TS, in

Terminal Services Configuration - rdp-tcp connection - properties -

network?

Are multiple connections per user allowed on the TS?

Have you checked your licensing status (server CALs, not TS CALs! -

check in Control Panel - Licensing)?

 

Does the application really stop working after 10 concurrent

sessions? Or can you run with 10 user sessions, user 11 is refused,

then 1 user logs off, and now the next user is allowed in?
