Guest Dough Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Win2003 Std SP1 x86 (ISA2006 box) was upgraded to SP2 and now when NTBackup runs it hangs at "Preparing to backup using shadow copy". Event Type: Error Event Source: VSS Event Category: None Event ID: 6013 Date: 12/2/2007 Time: 5:52:32 AM User: N/A Computer: GTIISA1 Description: Sqllib error: OLEDB Error encountered calling ICommandText::Execute. hr = 0x80040e14. SQLSTATE: 42000, Native Error: 3013 Error state: 1, Severity: 16 Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server Error message: BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally. And... Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Hang Event Category: (101) Event ID: 1002 Date: 12/2/2007 Time: 5:52:58 AM User: N/A Computer: GTIISA1 Description: Hanging application ntbackup.exe, version 5.2.3790.4166, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000. File from KB942843 didn't help and KB833167 said I had a newer file (from SP2). I also noticed my MSDE instance isn't starting. Any suggestions?
