Network Printer stuck "offline" Minolta Di550

I have a printer with 15 jobs stuck in queue. The printer is showing a status

of "Offline" be when I right click the printer the only option is to "Use

Printer Offline". I can restart the service but I want to keep this problem

from happening again, and I don't want to lose the existing jobs in queue.
