Windows 2000 Terminal Server (on SBS 2K3 R2 LAN) - ICON imagesgone...

Following a recent reboot all of the PDF and MSOffice document and

program icons changed to plain white rectangles showing the windows

logo, as if there is no program association. Double clicking on the

icon still opens the file so the association is still there, just no

icon image. For most users images on icons are way more important than

SPAM + Virus + Hard Drive failures combined, only an inability to

access facebook ranks higher on the HELP! list.

I have deleted the icon cache (C:\WINNT\ShellIconCache) AND run

rebuild icons in TWEAK UI AND rebooted - no change.

Folder icons and a some document / program icons (Internet Explorer,

Outlook, Recycle Bin, Zip Files, Wordpad, Calculator) display properly

it is MSOffice and PDF that seem to be the issue.

Suggestions?

Does this issue occur only within Terminal Services sessions? If not, this

may not be a terminal services specific issue. You may want to check out

other newsgroup for their suggestions.

Thanks
