Time Sync from a DC

I am having trouble syncing my DC's with an outside time source and an inside

time source. I have used the following command with no luck:

w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:NTP_server_IP_Address,0x08 /syncfromflags:MANUAL

For NTP_server_IP_Address I used the following entries: time.windows.com,

pool.ntp.org, & time.nist.gov. After restarting the time service, I would

run the command, w32tm /resync and I get the following the error message:

"The computer did not resync because no time data was available."

I then wen to a member server and ran the same commands except they work on

the member server. So I then tried to sync the DC's with the member server

but I am getting the same message, "The computer did not resync because no

time data was available."

Hello UHHG_Network_Guy,

Do you run a firewall? Check that the port is open for 123 UDP.

Re: Time Sync from a DC

Unfortunately, I have already checked that. I have configured a member

server to go out on the internet and sync its time. and it works. I am able

to sync the member server with the same sites that the DC's are not. So when

I attempted to sync my DC's with the member server, the sync fails on the

member server. Any ideas?
