Guest Bazooka-Joe Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 So, my (albeit limited) understanding of the future of Microsoft's server deployment strategy is a little sketchy. There's been so many tools and methodologies from Microsoft in the last few years what with ADS, APF, ADT, BOIS, BDD 2007, that perhaps I'm just confused. But specifically, with regards to Windows Server 2008, tell me if I've got this right: Windows Deployment Services (WDS) is available as an option for Windows Server 2003 SP2, and comes standard with Windows Server 2008. And apparently, additional functionality will be available within System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (SCCM), which is the successor to SMS, correct? And in addition to THAT, there's also the Windows Server Deployment Solution Accelerator (WSDSA). I assume this costs extra. And this will be integrated into the SCCM as an extended set of features, correct? And it ties together the WDS, SCCM, and all the desktop deployment stuff that's been around for awhile, right? Thanks for the assistance. Please feel free to expand on this, as I've most certainly over simplified it, I'm sure. :Bazooka-Joe
