divx/xvid support on the 360 is HEREEEEEEEEEEE!

just watched one directly streamed from my PC using WMP11 media sharing. it doesn't seem to apply any image post-processing (luckily my TV* does) however the playback was perfect, no lag, loss of audio sync or freezing frames even on some videos that my standalone player has problems playing.

 

I've seen that it has a very useful video stretching support however it doesn't seem to remember the settings, it also lacks subtitles support and the files won't play on windows media center.

 

however it's absolutely good enough to allow me, finally, to get rid of my old standalone DVD player and also it will make me save the money I would have spent in the future to buy an expensive network media player. good!
