Michael Bay (the guy who directed Transformers) is apparently a big Blu-Ray fan. A couple of months ago he threatened not to do a Transformers 2 because Paramount is now backing HD-DVD, then backtracked a day later posting how he watched 300 on HD-DVD and saw that it, and I quote, "rocked".

 

Apparently he still has sour grapes over the whole thing, and now claims the whole format war to be a Microsoft conspiracy. According to Bay, Microsoft is intentionally backing the losing format in order to create confusion in the market until digital delivery is ready for prime time, in order for them to be hailed as heroes on that field.

 

Tinfoil hats, roll out!
