Guest SmallBizW2K3User Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 What's everyone's flavor of choice for most accurate measures for upload and download speeds?
Guest Newell White Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 RE: Test my internet speed Problem is eliminating other bottlenecks. 1) Find a fellow professional who has a higher bandwidth ISP connection than you do. 2) Out of normal business hours, open a VPN tunnel between you, login to a share on his machine, and copy a large file a few times. 3) Have him login to a share on your machine, and copy the same file back again. If you can't manage this, assuming your ISP provides web-site hosting, try doing FTP of large files from and to your site in the small hours. Your upload bandwidth may be throttled by your ISP's security measures. -- Regards, Newell White "SmallBizW2K3User" wrote: > What's everyone's flavor of choice for most accurate measures for upload and > download speeds? > > >
