HI,

Am planning network for client, they require 50 concurrent users for TS

(may rise). Have decided on Window's Enterprise server with 16gb ram and 2

quad core processors.

Is this adequate, what are the reccomendations for hardware,

also can we have a Window's standard 2003 domain controller on network with

a server with Enterprise edition?

Any help gratefully appreciated

Susan

Re: Server versions

I'd rather buy 2 less powerfull servers than putting all my eggs in

one basket. Actual requirements depend on many things, like the

type of applications that are going to be used, printer and local

resource redirection, and many more.

Check Patrick Rouse website for some advice on scaling out versus

scaling up.

And yes, your DC can run any version of Windows 2003 (except Web

Edition), irrespective of the OS on member servers.
