maynardvdm Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Hi Try plugging it to a different USB port. Also test the mouse on another pc to make sure it is working. Guest Wolfeymole Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 It may well be that if it's a cheap and cheerful mouse it may not work under Vista. Did you get any software with it and what make of mouse is it? Is it cordless or wired? Are you using the mouse on the tower or the lappy? Quote
discod Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 heya its for the house comp which is XP and yes both cheap rubbish with no software,do you think that maybe the problem im needing one with disc or whatever?? And tried different USB ports and still nothing even though the red light on the bottom of both lights up when its plugged in  Quote

discod Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 brought both, one with usb end and one with the green end Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 What Maynard means is did you use an adaptor like the one below to attach to the tower when using the PS2 mouse? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21k90cHMHtL._SL500_AA280_.jpg Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Ok on the PS2 mouse disconnect the USB adaptor and plug it in to the tower when powered down. Make sure it's the correct socket but it should be colour coded Green whereas the keyboard socket should be Purple. Reboot and get back to us, as that should work Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Do you have any other devices connected via USB? Quote
DirtyPolo Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Have you tried plugging them into your laptop and seeing if they work on there?
