Hi

Try plugging it to a different USB port. Also test the mouse on another pc to make sure it is working.

It may well be that if it's a cheap and cheerful mouse it may not work under Vista.

Did you get any software with it and what make of mouse is it?

Is it cordless or wired?

Are you using the mouse on the tower or the lappy?

When you say both do you mean you bought 2 different mice or does it have an adapter?

Ok on the PS2 mouse disconnect the USB adaptor and plug it in to the tower when powered down.

Make sure it's the correct socket but it should be colour coded Green whereas the keyboard socket should be Purple.

Reboot and get back to us, as that should work
