RDP Saves IP in Logon Credentials

This may be blindingly simple and I just can't see it.

The RDP clip stores the IP address of the remote server in the User Name

field (e.g. xx.xxx.xxx.xxx\my_name) which it passes to the server for logon.

This, quite reasonably, fails.

How do I prevent the IP address being sent in the User Name field, please?

Sounds like you are using version 6.0 of the rdp client, correct?

Thanks for the prompt response. Using the mydomain\username cleared the

issue for one server but if you notice my later post I can't try it on

another as I seem to have lost remote connections altogether.

Thanks for the prompt response. Using mydomain\username seems to have

cleared the issue.
