NTVDM Screen Resolution Issues

Hi

This question is in regards to NTVDM on Windows 2003 R2 terminal server SP2

and the maximum screen resolution it should be able address,

The reason I ask this question is that I have two applications that launch a

NTVDM process when executed by the user and both are now presenting the same

issue. I am working in accountants office so both these apps are finical

applications

The problem being that we have just setup New WYSE units running XPE with

Dual 19" Screen attached, each runs at resolution on 1280 by 1024, Using RDP

v6 and the /span when establishing each session on the terminal server the

screen resolution is presented at 2560 by 1024 here is where the problem

lies,

Cause the moment that any user goes to print preview and do any form of work

in these applications they get either NTVDM has caused a hard error or

Overflow error and the application exits,

The application Manufactures are saying tough and deal with it reduce the

resolution of the screens which is not really option as setting the

resolution to 1024 by 768 cause the picture to become fuzzy and cannot be

looked at for long periods of time.

My questions are one, can NTVDM actually address such a large resolution to

begin with if so has any one else encountered this problem with any other

application and if so how did you resolve it,

I am sorry is this vague if more information is needed please ask. The

applications that are having the issue are MYOB AE TAX and Trimar Finman, I

do not expect anyone to know about these applications.
