Printing Balloon notification TS2003

Hi all

I'm a little unsure whether this is possible or not.

Currently our clients are using a standard desktop machine and connecting

via terminal services to a server running 2003.

When a user prints to a network printer they are not receiving the balloon

notification in the bottom right when it is sent to the printer.

I have tried to set it via the printer control panel, server properties with

no effect.

I have checked the registry to make sure it is explicitly set and it is.

There is no group policy disallowing this as when the user prints from the

local machine itself they get the balloon. They are inheriting the same

policies.

If I physically log onto the server itself I can see notifications for each

print, but they are just not appearing for the client.

Is this a limitation of TS or is there something I am missing here?

Thanks in advance..

This can be disabled on the server via Printers and Faxes - Print Server

Properties - Advanced - Uncheck "Show informational notifications for local

printers" and uncheck "Show informational notifications for network printers"

I want to ENABLE it.

And these options have already been checked, but they dont change the

behaviour of it.

This should help (read "turn on" for "turn off", method is the

same):

How can I turn off printer notifications for all users?
