Hi All

I have a server running 2003 SP2, I have one local Partition c: and 3

SAN Partitions d:,e:,f:

When i try to enable FSRM File screens to a SAN Partition d: it logs

the following error in the Application Event Logs

An unexpected error occurred in the File Server Resource Manager

MMC snap-in at

Microsoft.Storage.SrmMmc.NewFileScreenDialog.OnCreateButtonClick

ed(Object sender, EventArgs eventArgs)

Exception from HRESULT: 0x80045316 at

Microsoft.Storage.ISrmDataScreen.Commit() at

Microsoft.Storage.SrmMmc.NewFileScreenDialog.OnCreateButtonClick

ed(Object sender, EventArgs eventArgs)

It seems to work fine when i apply the file screens (Filter) to the

Local disk Partition. I have Veritas Enterprise Administrator v3.5

running on the Server to manage the disk partitions have heard that

this could cause problems

I really need to apply these File screens to filter out all MP3's and

other Junk on the server

Can anyone Help !!!!!!!:)

Thanks

RE: FSRM problem

This normally happens when System Volume Information\SRM folder loses

permissions to system account. Try giving full permissions to system and

administrator accounts and propagate them to child objects on the affected

drives.

RE: FSRM problem

If it does not work, try uninstalling veritas disk manager but first get in

touch with veritas as u won't want to lose ur san partitions.
