Diurno Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Hello everyone, I'm back :D Another problem (how unusual :) ) Anyway, I spent a couple of hours designing and coding a website for a group of friends... the website is: Lateral Artistes - Lowestoft's Newest Drama Success The website works perfectly on IE but I seem to have a problem with firefox, any suggestions? I'm not sure if I have the same problem with other browsers as I've only tried IE and firefox.... can someone please have a look with a different browser. Anyway back to the problem, if you visit the website you will see what I'm talking about...the content area seems to **** up the entire website...really annoying. Can someone have a look at the html code and see if you can spot any mistakes. Bare in mind that this is the first time I actually code a website.... Can someone also give me some feedback in terms of design... I know that some of the links aren't working and there is no content but I'm waiting for the group to give me the information. Thanks everyone and sorry for the long post (new keyboard is lovely). Quote Intel Quad Core Q6600Asus Maximus Extreme2.5Gb DDR3 1066Mhz (2Gb OCZ Gold Edition & 512Mb Generic)ATI Radeon HD2600XT
Tootech Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) Hi Diurno, Tried it in Firefox 3.0.8, and Opera 9.50 and this happens in both - staggered template edges. Kinda like the way it looks - btw which one is you :D Edited September 27, 2009 by Tootech Quote
Diurno Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 Hey tootech, Any solutions? I just find it weird how it works with IE and not other browsers.... Yeah I get that problem plus the navigation bar font should be "Museo 300" but it only works in my desktop, it doesnt work in any other computer....:S And I'm not in the picture, too shy haha (joke) I am a bit but nevermind I am not part of the group I'm part of the technical team behind it :D. Pretty cool because I get access to anyone at any time, even if it is a show I especially like the girl's changing room.... for obvious reasons. maynardvdm Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Hi If you use Microsoft products to create it then it will only work on IE. RandyL Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Hi Diurno; You could check your code with W3C CSS Validator. If it passes then your code should work in any decent browser. If not then you need to manually edit your code to make it cross browser compliant. Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. RandyL Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Validate HTML at W3C I've used the above to fix errors on a site I hand coded in notepad. Mine was in pure html and it worked great. Check all your pages but running through your home page found 28 errors. Here are a couple more: WDG HTML Validator Site Valet and Page Valet Quote We are all members helping other members.
