I want to see if we got the correct drivers for the onboard sound.

HELP!

 

Ok i have got the motherboards serial number ..... i think :D well i have got to because i didn't know which one is 1 so i'll let u have them both OK the first one is

253712250

and the other one is

00016CDAF8F9

 

write back and hopefully you can help me cheers! :D

Looking at the blue screen you have posted, portcls.sys seems to be the problem.

 

After doing some searching portcls.sys is related to sound cards, and often to incorrect drivers.

 

Uninstall ALL sound drivers from your PC. Do that from Add/Remove programs.

 

Reboot.

 

Do not allow Windows to reinstall any sound drivers when it reboots - just cancel any attempt to find drivers.

 

Have a look at this picture - is this your board?

If that is your board, go to the link below and download the Audio driver.

 

Foxconn - Support - Downloads

 

Install the driver and reboot.

 

If it is not the same board, let us know.

yes it is my motherboard BUT its not lettin me download the drive :eek:

HELP!

 

ermm that protucal.sys error that i showed u or sumthin on my previous post is the same problem what can i do now then any ideas i got missing dll and sys classes what can i do then ? reinstall windows xp ? :confused:
