How to change the settings of my laptop to play pc games help needed!!

Hi guys.

 

this is my first time in this forum so i'll say a quick hello.

 

Im stuck on a coule of things that i am desperate to get some help for.

 

I recently bought a pc game which was created in the 90's. i tried to install the game by the usual methods but it won't start.

 

After tryng some many possible ways of getting the game to load i contacted the seller to see how he got the game to start.

 

As you can imagine this guy was no help at all. all he said was i had to change my settings to be able to play the game but i aint no professor so i am absolutly stuck.

 

I would very much appreciate some good advice and help from someone who knows what they are doing.

what operating syem are you running and what is the game,have you tried right click the game executable file and running the game in compatibility mode for the operating the game was made for....
