windows xp wont boot up

Hi all

 

I have a lap top running windows xp when you switch on it goes to windows did not shut down properly then start normall safe mode ect.

if you choose any off these options the windows xp screen comes up and the goes back to windows did not shut down properly screen again.

 

I do not have the windows xp disc as the laptop came pre-loaded.

 

Can any one help or suggest what i can do to get the thing working please

Hi, and welcome to Free PC help.

 

Try to force it into safe mode by tapping F8 as soon as you push the start button. if it will go into safe mode try "Last known Good configuration"

 

let us know how you get on.
