server sound card on Terminal Server

I have a win 2003 Terminal Server and the Remote Desktop Control sound

setting is set "Leave at remote computer" but I don't see in RDC sessions

the server sound card. I see the server sound card only if use "mstsc

/console" and only for administrator and I need this thing for all RDC

users.

Thank you

Re: server sound card on Terminal Server

Hi Marian,

I'm pretty sure that's the expected behavior of 'Leave at remote computer'

on Win2k3 servers. If you had all users able to 'Leave at remote computer',

each user would either have to share the sound card or whoever logged-in

last got control of the sound card. Since neither of those really make

sense, only the console user can get the sound card.

What are you hoping to do by allowing all RDC users to have access to the

server's sound card?

Thanks,

Drew

Re: server sound card on Terminal Server

Hi Drew,

Thank you very much for your advice.

We want to install a call center application for Skype (PrettyMay Call

Center). Every user should be able to receive skype calls on his TS

instance. Every users has his own Pretty May instance. PrettyMay should be

able to receive Skype and Skypein calls, to play automatic response messages

to callers, record voice messages and eventually forward calls to other

skype or skypeout lines.

Looking forward to your reply,

Thank you,

Marian
