Guest Daniel Jewel Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Hi all, I have this customer who has two powerful servers but working in workgroup mode and using lots of Terminal Server Application Mode. I wanto to implement Domain, AD, DNS and WINS....Server has one NIC only The resort has sales offices (8) connecting to the Server via TS. Will I trash the TS Users and their profiles if I implement the above? Thanks, Dan

You don't need to do that step first (I'm presuming you weren't planning to run TS on a domain controller). Eventually, you will need to, though - and you'll need to create domain accounts for all the TS users and specify TS profiles for them in their ADUC properties. You should be able to copy out data from their local user account profiles, though. You'll want to use folder redirection, etc., and ideally, don't store any data on the TS box - just use it to host terminal sessions. All data belongs on your file server. I suggest you post in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services for more help.
