Hi

I dont personally have Norton, but from what i read at the symantec site is that you keep the days remaining on the new upgrade. I will just double check to confirm this.

If you have a Norton account, you can log in using your email address and a password you have previously set up, to check your subscription.

Just to be sure, log on to your account and check you can retrieve your serial key.

Once that is confirmed you can uninstall Norton and reinstall again, without loss of subscription.

Fix Security Center

Amend that to "drama king". Lol, just kidding. :D

Good thing. Let us know when you are done.

I assume you are referring to the Security Center. Try this.

  • Please download the attached archive and extract it.
  • If you are unsure on how to open the archive, use the instructions from here and continue.
  • After you have extracted the archive, you should obtain a file labeled Fix Security Center.reg.
  • Double-click on the file and you will be asked whether you want to import the information into the registry or not.
  • Answer Yes to the prompt and sometime later another dialog box will pop up informing you that the operation was successful.
  • After you have done the above, reboot your computer.

Note: Please backup your registry before you apply any of the above changes so that we can revert back your system to working condition if something goes awry.

Note: Using the above registry fix might cause some programs to dysfunction or work incorrectly. In that case, please reinstall the affected programs to resolve their respective errors.

That should fix the problem according to my estate. In any case, let us know the results. :)

Hi all,

Thank you so very very much. I have still to update to SP3, and also to resolve the security centre conflict, but guess should spend some time with the kids now!!!

A sincere thank you for your time spent with me. I really appreciate it, and look forward to a couple of hours of backing up pictures now!!!

Thanks again very much indeed
