Hi Maynard,I did something stupid.A friend recommended an on line scan and I clicked, fix the probs and they wanted me to purchase the product. What ever they did try to fix has Damaged the registry.Freezes all the time when copy and paste.System slowed to a crawl. What specs do you need, mate. It has a 500 GIG H/D,Palit AA780G Board,500 W PS, 2 gigs Memory,GeForce 9500GT Card.AMD 5200+.All my fault,as I have been warned about this very thing not to do.

All started straight after Scan and so called repair. Is there a reg fix software I should purchase,I wonder,or take it and have Windows reinstalled again.Thanks.

EDIT.I did a system restore but made no difference.

That is not commendable Doug. What program did you use exactly? Often, these programs come with an in-built utility to backup the registry before applying the changes. Let me know that and we might be able to repair the damage.

Oh, and do you have your Windows XP disc?

From that site:

Backup and Undo

Before removing an entry from your registry, Error Nuker automatically creates a backup file that can be used to undo the changes.

Hi again Goku,You just jolted my memory.I remember seeing the word errorin System restore, but didn't take any notice. That's probably a restore point they set.I went back earlier and restored. When CHKDSK is finished running I will have a look. May save me a lot of headaches.

EDIT. Didn't see your post till just now,Maynard.

Things look promising.

No wonder, you are facing those problems mate. Error Nuker is classified adware of moderate risk. It would be wise to run through the disinfection procedure to ensure that it is completely removed. If that doesn't help, then let us know and we will look up to some custom fixes. :)

Hope that helps.
