kb831464 and kb884848

Hi,

 

Do you still need to still need to install kb831464 and kb884848 if you're

already using Windows Server 2003 SP1? The prerequisite for kb 831464 is IE

6.0 does this mean if you have IE 6.0 SP1 you don't need to install it?

KB884848 has no prerequisite. Does this mean we still have to install it.

There are two things you need to remember. The hotfix contain QFE binaries

and should be installed if you face the problems mentioned in the KB.

Secondly check if the files updated by the hotfix are newer than the ones on

your box.

Thanks for your reply. These hotfixes is part of standard patches\softwares

we install on all our exchange servers before W2003 SP1 that's why I wonder

if we still need to install for new Exchange on W2003 SP1 installation.

 

I'll do as you suggested and check which file is newer.
