slowdown for some but not all

Hey all,

Just wondering where you guys would suggest I start looking for issues in (I

assume) a user profile .. for example..

If I open an adobe (small file) document with one user it opens in about 15

seconds (still kinds slow but not the main issue) when I open the same file

from another user it opens in about 25 - 45 seconds .. the server load is

around the same .. I just don't know why it would be different for 2 users

in the same office on the same server.

I've cleared all the temp files and there is no change.

Thanks in advance..

Not sure, but thought I'd note that IMO Adobe software continues to get more

ungainly and bloated over the years. I tend to discourage using Acrobat

Reader, esp. on TS, as it's a resource hog and there are plenty of good free

options out there - Foxit Reader is my personal preference (and CutePDF

Writer for PDF creation....it's also free).

I had done a switch to foxit reader last year, then after an update of the

program it went to crap on my server so I had to quickly revert back to

adobe to get things running again.

I should mention i'm also running a windows 2k TS server not 2003.

Hmmm - I hadn't seen any updates that hosed Foxit (and I don't do any sort

of "auto updates". There are other readers out there, tho. I still say Adobe

is best left off any TS box.

Shouldn't make any difference, really.
