Jamiemanclad Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 well where to start first problem ive installed WoW onto laptop when i start it it say cannot start 3D Accelerator and i should check that Directx 9.0.c is installed and my video drivers are up to date. Ive downloaded directx and ive used Microsoft driver updater still no joy. I then did a dxdiag and it shows that in display tab that 3D Accelerator is not certified and i tried contacting dell support but they cant do anything because of warranty is up. So what to do...... starams5 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Hi Try this workaround. First update the OpenGL driver and reboot. NVIDIA OpenGL 3.0/3.1 Support Launch in WoW in openGL mode. Right click your WoW desktop icon, or the menu icon used to start the game, and select properties. In the "Target" box, simply go to the end of the text listed there, hit the spacebar once, then type -opengl It should look something like this when you're done: "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Launcher.exe" -opengl Then, just click apply and ok. Next time you click it to run the game it will run in opengl rather than direct draw. Quote
