Netlogon 5807 Events

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've been getting this event and is ignoring it. I don't know if i have to

but here's the situation. The IP address in the netlogon.log are from the

computers on our remote branches with w2k3 ad domain with full trust to our

w2k3 ad domain with different ip subnet. I did not create any sites for

these subnets in the sites and services as they belong to a differnt domain.

Should i be creating them to resolve the 5807 events?

Thanks,

TagaR

Have you tried this solution?

You may receive event ID 5807 on a Windows Server 2003-based ...Describes an

issue that occurs when a client computer logs on to a domain, and the client

computer is authenticated by a remote domain controller instead of ...

support.microsoft.com/kb/889031

Re: Netlogon 5807 Events

Hi Bob,

I have come across this kb but then unsure whether i can do it with my

current setup as the remote sites are of different ip's like some are

172.x.x.x and some are 192.x.x.x and different domains with trust to our

domain.

Anyway, i created new sites and subnets and see if it's going to give me a

clean event logs.

Is there any issue if I'll ignore those message without creating sites?

Thanks

TagaR
