Terminal Server Help!

I am installing a computer running Windows 2003 Server at a client site

tomorrow. I am installing the OS at my office. They have an existing

server, which is a domain controller, this new server will be their terminal

server. Their terminal server licenses are for the existing server. When I

set up the new server on their network, do I set it up as a Member Server?

How do I transfer the terminal server licenses to the new Terminal Server.

The database for their software resides on the domain controller. It is

accessed via a mapped drive by the users who are local. When I move the

terminal server licenses to the new terminal server, what needs to be done

so they can access the database when they connect through Remote Desktop?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Re: Terminal Server Help!

Hi Candace,

You don't need to move the licenses. TS needs to find a licensing server and

should just find it on the DC.

You can see the TS licensing server in the TS Licensing Manager mmc.

The new TS should just be a member server.

Getting to the database depend what it is. You could just set up the TS to

access the database the same way the local clients do,

Hope that helps,

Why do you keep posting this here? I've told you twice now in your other

thread to move this to the ng:

microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services
