Guest Jonathan Morningstar Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 How can I tell when and who keeps moving a folder on the server? I have a folder called Marketing and one of the users keeps moving it into random locations. How, in the Event Viewer, or however can I tell who moves it. Ugh... First you have to enable Auditing in the local Security Settings To audit a file or folder, right-click it and select the Properties command from the resulting menu. You’ll see the object’s Properties sheet. Select the Properties sheet’s Security tab, and click the Advanced button to display the Access Control Settings Properties sheet for the object. Select the Auditing tab. Then, click the Add button, and you’ll be presented with a list of users and groups. Select the groups that you wish to audit, and click OK. I hope it was helpful Respectfully Daniel H Switzerland
