Hi, I have 2 internal hard drives both are ntfs, I have an external hard drive I use for back up etc, this drive worked fine, then it stopped letting me use it, saying that it is HPFS files. How can I get all the files off this disc.

Hi

Windows will only reconize FAT, FAT32, and NTFS unless you are using some type of conversion software to read other formats. HPFS is used for OS/2. You will need to reformat the external drive to one of the formats I mentioned above.
