Database on File Server Help!!!

I am setting up a Terminal Server on a Domain, Terminal Server is running on

DC, now. The main application they are using uses SQL Server. I installed

the software on the Terminal Server by mapping a drive to the Software

Folder. After I run the setup on the Terminal Server, the application does

not see the SQL Database? Is there something I am missing, or does this

have to be resolved by the software manufacturer.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Re: Database on File Server Help!!!

What is the Windows version of Terminal Services are you running?

What is the SQL server version are you running?

Where is the SQL server? is it on the same DC? If it is, then you may need

to check with SQL server support what are the restrictions to host SQL

server on a DC.

Do you know what authentication method your software use to connect to SQL

server? You may want to check to see if you can verify/update its connection

strings.

I would suggest to confirm with the software manufacturer installing the

software on a DC is a supported environment, and also it is compatible with

Terminal Services.

Thanks
