Guest WetBehindEars Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Our ISP just dished out a new static IP for us and now our email does not work. What do we need to do to correct this issue? I do know the company that hosts our MX records have updated the new address a few days ago, but do we need to do something in AD or on our router/firewall?? Is there a setting in Exchange where we have to take out the old static IP and insert the new static IP? Thanks for your time. Thanks again!
Guest SBS Rocker Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Re: New static IP, AD and SBS2003 Exchange?? All you really need to do is rerun the CEICW and reconfigure the firewall options pointing to the new external IP. Guest SBS Rocker Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Re: New static IP, AD and SBS2003 Exchange?? I'm sorry. I mistakenly thought you were using SBS. You need to check your A records to make sure your IP is correct pointing to mail.domainame.com. Also check the IP on the external NIC. Appears all your records with your mail providor have been taken care of.
